Dr. Stan Statham, Director of Mission for the Baptist Association of Southeast Louisiana and Dr. Joel Williams, senior pastor of First Baptist St. Francisville, LA, are co-directors for the Advance school in the Dominican Republic. The first cohort of 50 students are preparing for their first class (Christian Doctrine), which will be taught February 22-24, 2019. The class schedule for 2019 in the Dominican Republic also includes classes that will be held on May 24-26, August 23-25, and November 22-24.
The in-country coordinators for the Advance school in the Dominican Republic are Vital and Ketly Pierre. Classes in 2019 will be held in a church community center in La Romana that the Pierre’s operate, which is pictured below and is currently under renovation in preparation for the class in February.
